Importance of Acquiring Education in Islam and Quran

Apart from its unparalleled stress on monotheism, Islam is distinct from other religions because of its special emphasis on acquisition of knowledge and education. This special emphasis becomes even clearer when you study the Quran tutor and the life of Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, where you can find numerous references to education, the need for learning, as well as an encouragement to reflect. It is by reading and reflecting upon the Quran that one comes to realize the full significance of how much emphasis in laid in Islam upon the acquisition of knowledge. The Quran encourages us to reflect upon the world all around us in particular and the universe in general.
We learn about the importance of education through reading Quran. Acquisition of some particular type of worldly knowledge may help you learn one or another thing related to your particular interest and they may solve some particular problem for you. On the other hand, the knowledge one acquires from the Quran can make our present as well as our life after death successful. The Quran is the sacred book of Allah as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and is the best guide for mankind. Islam provides us with unlimited knowledge and education and the Quran is the central book of Islamic knowledge.
Quran Education and knowledge are useless if they do not transform and uplift one’s personal life. No one can find the right path and direction in this world without the right education. Learning is a natural process. This is innate and one of the basic instincts of man. The pleasure achieved from the acquisition of knowledge is very important for the growth and nurturing of the human mind. Had there had been no inclination to learn, life itself would have been in danger. Even the growth and sustenance of the human race would have been in danger if knowledge of medicine and other branches of knowledge had not been pursued. The regular recitation of Quran reminds us on the importance of education and strengthens our focus regarding it.
Education is important for two reasons. It provides a person with the right mental tools so that he can think clearly and in the right direction. If one has no education, then one cannot think properly in an appropriate manner. Education trains a person how to think and how to make an informed decision. The second reason which makes education important is that one can acquire information from the external world and convert it to useful knowledge only when one has education. A person without education is like a closed room, without light and fresh air, while an with education a person feels as if he is in a room with all its windows open towards outside world, with plenty of light and fresh air.
Knowledge among the Muslims is spreading as it is among the rest of the people of the world. Muslims all over the world are coming up better ideas, they have begun to think and reflect more about the world around them, and they are showing greater interest in new information, and they are acquiring new skills. This is the Industrial Age and the world is growing very fast. It is the duty of people related to the field of education to provide people with quality education Research informs us that the Western view of Muslims is very negative and they think Muslims are uneducated, illiterate, and ignorant. Muslims must change this perspective and the first step to this is to read Quran tutor and Learning Quran.

About The Quran

The Quran is the religious text of Islam, also sometimes transliterated as Quran, Koran, Coran or Al-Quran. It is widely regarded as the finest piece of literature in the Arabic language. Muslims hold that the Qur’an is the verbal divine guidance and moral direction for mankind. Muslims also consider the original Arabic verbal text to be the final revelation of ALLAH (S.W.A) the Final Testament.

Muslims believe that the Quran was repeatedly revealed from ALLAH (S.W.A) to MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H) verbally through the angel Jabril (Gabriel (A.S)) over a period of approximately twenty-three years, beginning in 610 CE, when he was forty, and concluding in 632 CE, the year of his death. Followers of Islam further believe that the Quran was memorized, recited and written down by Muhammad (P.B.U.H) companions after every revelation dictated by Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Most of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) tens of thousands of companions, called Sahabas, learned the Qur’an by heart, repeatedly recited in front of Muhammad (P.B.U.H) for his approval or the approval of other Sahabas. Muslim tradition agrees that although the Qur’an was authentically memorized completely by tens of thousands verbally, the Qur’an was still established textually into a single book form shortly after Muhammad's death by order of the first Caliph Abu Bakr (R.A) suggested by his future successor Umar. Hafsa, Muhammad (P.B.U.H) widow and Umar's daughter, was entrusted with that Quran text after the second Caliph Umar died. When Uthman, the third Caliph, started noticing slight differences in the Arabic dialect; he requested Hafsa to allow him to use the Quran text in her possession to be set as the standard dialect, the Quraish dialect aka Fus'ha (Modern Standard Arabic). Before returning that Qur'an text to Hafsa; Uthman immediately made several thousands of copies of Abu Bakar's Qur’anic compilation and ordered all other texts to be burned. This process of formalization of the orally transmitted text to Abu Bakar's(R.A) Quranic text is known as the "Uthmanic recension". The present form of the Quran text is accepted by most scholars as the original version compiled by Abu Bakr (R.A).

Muslims regard the Quran as the main miracle of Muhammad (P.B.U.H), as proof of his Prophethood, and as the culmination of a series of divine messages. These started, according to Islamic belief, with the messages revealed to Adam(A.S), regarded in Islam as the first Prophet, and continued with the Suhuf Ibrahim (Scrolls of Abraham), the Tawrat (Torah or Pentateuch) of Moses, the Zabur (Tehillim or Book of Psalms) of David, and the Injil (Gospel) of Jesus. The Quran assumes familiarity with major narratives recounted in Jewish and Christian scriptures, summarizing some, dwelling at length on others, and, in some cases, presenting alternative accounts and interpretations of events. The Quran describes itself as a book of guidance, sometimes offering detailed accounts of specific historical events, and often emphasizing the moral significance of an event over its narrative sequence.

Learn Quran The Most Eloquent Speech

The Quran is the most eloquent speech in the whole universe. This is so because it is the speech of ALLAH Almighty, Himself. It is the speech of the Creator, Himself. The One Who created speech and everything else in the universe. Indeed, who could be luckier than a person who knows how to speak the language of Allaah Almighty? A Muslim must, therefore strive to learn Quran so that he, or she, can read Quran, ponder over its meanings, act upon its teachings, and lead a satisfied and contented life.

Such contentment comes because a person who knows how to read Quran and understands its message automatically becomes more knowledgeable than those who do not know the teachings of the Quran because the Quran does not merely instruct one about various religious rituals, but carries the most scientifically advanced knowledge as well.

The Quran informed humanity about scientific facts w hich were discovered by scientists many, many centuries later. For example, the Quran had stated more than fourteen hundred years ago about the earth, the moon, the sun, and other heavenly bodies travel in their orbits. This scientific fact was not discovered by scientists until several centuries later and everyone believed that earth was flat and the sun revolved around it. This, and so many other facts stated in the Quran, arouse interest in intelligent people to learn Quran and ponder over this source of immense knowledge.

Yet, the Quran it is not just the boundless knowledge that one acquires from the Quran that is amazing, the most awe-inspiring thing about the Quran is the eloquent language in which the Quran speak to a person’s heart and mind. There are many aspects of the Quran’s eloquence, including: purity of language and impressiveness; the meaning of a word is clear from the word itself; the meaning conforms to the word and is neither more, nor less, in effect and meaning; excellence o f composition; harmony of speech; balanced and consistent; there is no better substitute for a word is the whole Arabic dictionary for any word in the Quran used in a certain place.

The last and latest aspect of Quranic speech is the strength of the artistic imagery of Quranic speech. In the words of Dr. Abdul Radhi Muhammad Abdul Mohsen, ‘It (the Quran) expresses in an imaginary image the mental meaning, the psychological state, the tangible incident, the visible spectacle, the human model and man's nature. Then that image is promoted and given life or renewable movement, thus the mental meaning becomes a movement, the psychological state becomes a spectacle, the human modem becomes a living person and man's nature becomes visible. The listener forgets that he listens to a recital and imagines himself in front of a spectacle that is presented or an incident taking place in front of one's eyes.
